The red cedar was handpicked to go with this piece. The frame reminds me of honey dripping and the flecks of blonde in the herringbone backer give just enough blending off to tie off the frame.
Each little tiny bee was hand scrolled, sanded and painted. Lots of time and love went into each one.
The honey dripping is an effect I wanted to add to the pot and his paw. The vision turned out exactly as intended. It really made the entire piece pop!
Of course, the main guy himself, Pooh. His sweet smile will surely put a smile on your face.
